It’s the car I drove this year that I most likely can see myself buying for, uh, myself. Honorable mentions: Toyota Supra manual, Toyota Prius, BMW 330i, Cadillac CT4 Blackwing, Kia EV6 GT, Chevrolet Trax Activ. It also has 40 miles of electric range and an updated Google-based infotainment system that is more responsive than before.

The last 5% takes much more time - and so if you have another person behind you, you are not expected to do a full charge. He also owned a MG eZS for a year.

Conversions are mostly for the Prius, with a few for the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner hybrid SUVs. At these prices, people are buying the "environmental feature" -- they want to be among the first owners of the worlds cleanest extended-range vehicles. They are early adopters, buying "Version 1.0"

Seattle says it intends to help develop the charging network; consider incentives for buying and using the cars, and creating charging stations; consider regulatory changes to support the cars, such as streamlined permitting for installing charging outlets; and consider leasing or buying the cars for its fleet.

The prototype vehicle, called Project PUMA (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility), is designed to ease congestion and pollution problems in cities. It is based on the Segway Personal Transporter but holds two people, instead of one, and lets them sit, instead of stand. Thats double the milage of a Prius and a lot more fun!

Duh, heres our $40K volt, buy it please? Best take on all this has been that SouthPark episode with "It" You want something efficient that uses little resources and doesnt impact traffic and parking, then buy a motorcycle. Toyota still has not made any money on the Prius. market b y the end of 2009.
