We spent our last installment reviewing the special and sometimes troublesome engineering that was standard on the Brougham. The grille had circular bullet type protrusions from the intersections of the grille vanes, and was a more subtle take on Buick’s Fashion-Aire Dynastar grille. No longer, customers preferred the hardtop coupe!

While quality and safety standards are much higher in the U.S., They were sized all wrong, often underpowered, and featured things like fake exhaust tips. Both the Lincoln Nautilus and Buick Envision are now assembled in China. While he declined to say what products are expected on U.S. But the world has continued to change.

We discussed the engineering underneath 1953’s trio of high-end halo convertibles from Buick, Oldsmobile, and Cadillac last week. The windshield necessarily made the vent window a different shape, which was smaller and more rectangular than that of the standard Series 62.

The XC60 Recharge Ultimate has standard four-wheel independent suspension, but can add (as ours did) an optional air suspension for $1,800. The XC60 Recharge comes standard with eAWD and an Off-Road drive mode setting, but don’t confuse it with the likes of a Land Rover, Range Rover, Bronco or Jeep. Very clean.

The 2022 Genesis GV70 has two engine options with all-wheel drive (AWD) standard. The dual level, horizontal LED tail lights wrap from the fender to the hands-free power lift gate, and sit above the lower fascia that features dual round exhaust ports and a continuation of the cross-hatch design. Buick introduced the 2016 Encore Sport Touring crossover, a more sporty take on the brand’s popular crossover. Direct injection helps the engine generate an estimated 153 hp (112 kW) and 177 lb-ft of torque (240 N·m), for about 11% more horsepower and nearly 20% more torque than the Encore’s standard engine.
