BYD EV sales momentum continues in January BYD sold 105,304 fully electric cars last month, up 48% from the 71,338 handed over last year. Interestingly, BYD’s all-electric vehicles are beginning to outpace its plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). It’s about transitioning the auto industry for a sustainable future.

Volvo reached its highest-ever share of electrified vehicles as its new fully electric EX30 boosted EV sales in February. Although overall sales slid 2% last month, Volvo’s fully electric vehicle sales were up 14%, reaching a new record share. Fully electric cars also set a new record.

As one key example, Volkswagen Truck & Bus is working on electric solutions for use in both medium- and heavy-duty distribution transport and city buses. The jointly developed “e-drivetrain” will form the basis of any electric architecture in the future. It will be built at Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus in Brazil in 2020.
