In a post on Toyota’s Open Road blog, Irv Miller, Toyota Group Vice President – Environmental and Public Affairs, wrote that contrary to some recent reports, Toyota has yet to offer mileage estimates on its plug-in hybrid technology. Toyota’s current plug-ins are: being used for auto show displays, brief demonstrations and university studies.

Hell, even the Honda Civic Type R is supposed to yield 36 mpg on the highway when the C-HR was only able to manage 31 mpg. The new model is clearly designed by the same team that worked up the all-new Toyota Prius. Meanwhile, customers were getting the kind of fuel economy one would expect from a modern performance sedan.
