In a post on Toyota’s Open Road blog, Irv Miller, Toyota Group Vice President – Environmental and Public Affairs, wrote that contrary to some recent reports, Toyota has yet to offer mileage estimates on its plug-in hybrid technology. Toyota’s current plug-ins are: being used for auto show displays, brief demonstrations and university studies.

Hell, even the Honda Civic Type R is supposed to yield 36 mpg on the highway when the C-HR was only able to manage 31 mpg. The new model is clearly designed by the same team that worked up the all-new Toyota Prius. The PHEV is a little faster at 7.4 Would that remain true if we had held out for the second generation?

A plug and a pack can make a car a 101 MPG vehicle aided by electricity. ! Particularly to the Plug-in Hybrids Electric Vehicle (PHEV) like the Toyota Prius before them as well as converting internal combustion engines into pure Electrics!
