France-based global energy generator EDF has launched Hynamics , a new subsidiary for the Group that will be responsible for offering effective low-carbon hydrogen for industry and mobility. EDF’s ambition is to become a key player in the hydrogen sector in France and around the world. 95% of hydrogen is currently produced from fossil fuels.

LeasePlan, a Dutch financial institution specializing in fleet management, and Nissan signed an agreement to cooperate in a European-wide project to launch the electric Nissan LEAF in 2011. The car will be mass-marketed globally from 2012 onwards. LeasePlan operates a fleet of more than 1.3 million vehicles globally.
