Representatives of the municipal operator MZK Malbork (Poland) and Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. Emission-free buses will make it to Malbork in September 2021 at the latest. The electric buses will be fitted with Solaris High Energy batteries with a total capacity of 240 kWh. Another 500 battery buses are being manufactured.

dz, Poland signed a contract for the delivery of 17 Solaris electric buses. dz will be emissions-free. The municipal operator opted for Urbino 12 electric buses, the most popular models in Solaris’s emission-free portfolio. Solaris is now one of the biggest manufacturers in Europe of zero-emission public transport vehicles.

The purchase of the electric school bus was subsidized by NFO?iGW Having won the tender, Solaris secured an order for the construction of an electric school bus for Godzianów, the first vehicle of this type in Poland.

Denmark leads the way when it comes to putting zero-emission urban buses on the streets in Europe, with 78% of new vehicles being electric, according to the latest data from green NGO Transport & Environment. In Luxembourg and the Netherlands about two-thirds of new buses were zero-emissions.

Lithium developer Vulcan Energy Resources has signed a binding lithium hydroxide offtake agreement with Umicore, a leader in cathode materials production used in lithium-ion batteries for electrified transportation, as part of Vulcan’s Zero Carbon Lithium Project. In Nysa, Poland, Umicore has built the first cathode materials plant in Europe.

Solaris has fulfilled another contract for the delivery of electric buses to MPK Kraków, Poland, comprising 20 units of the Urbino electric, including 13 twelve-meter vehicles, and 7 articulated vehicles.
