Escalade IQ features independent front and rear suspension, with power transferred to 24-inch wheels with 35-inch tires via front and rear drive motors that work in conjunction as an eAWD system. Escalade IQ will have Super Cruise as a standard feature with three years of the OnStar Super Cruise plan.

GM’s BrightDrop vans are assembled in Ingersoll, Canada. The Ram’s battery powers a 200 kW (268 hp) motor driving the front wheels, rated at 302 lb-ft of torque. The Ford, while almost identical on power, has a rear-mounted motor that’s rated at 198 kW (266 hp) and produces 317 lb-ft of torque.

Both the range and the continuous power of the drive benefit from the high efficiency of the permanently excited synchronous motors.

A 60 kW (81 hp) electric motor at the rear of the smart electric drive transmits its power via a constant ratio to the wheels. The electric motor is a separately excited three-phase synchronous motor. Market launch will start in early 2017. Torque of 160 Nm (118 lb-ft) is immediately available from a standstill.
