Decided to completely ban the sale of new gasoline-powered cars in California from 2035, when all new vehicles must be an electric or plug-in hybrid. This provision will not affect the regular use of Californians who already own gasoline vehicles. Drivers will still be able to continue to buy and sell pre-owned gas-powered cars.
