The final Renaults sold here were 1988 Medallions (though Renault HQ claims that we'll be able to purchase electric Alpine A110s here in 2027). So we now have over 300 billion miles that have been driven with FSD v12. Currently normalized worldwide cost per vehicle in Austin and Berlin are already very close to that of Fremont. We have hundreds of them in different cities, in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, New York, a lot of different locations.

(Last year Oregon had also aggressively negotiated with the Chinese carmaker, BYD , to manufacture its line of plug-in hybrids in the state for sale in the U.S.) To convince me and the general public about purchasing an electric car, there are a lot of challenges to overcome. Not good for large EV’s but great for light ones.
