And with regards to Hydrogen, I'm truly shocked by the nonsense I see in the comments of many EV articles. The entire auto industry has given up on investing in Hydrogen cars. Read the article till the end. The first car on the eTNGA platform was shown in this year’s Auto Shanghai motor show.

Another strikingly different concept evidenced by the PHEV is that it is essentially a large, portable battery that can store energy gathered during one part of the day, and then use it later to power not only itself but also the vehicle owner’s home. It is only a matter of economics motivated by incentives or taxes.

This past week not only had the usual automaker electrification declarations and teases of EVs to come such as the Kia EV6 and Lexus LF-Z concept EV, but we had a huge April Fools’ joke from Volkswagen. According to the Asian auto industry gurus at ZoZo Go , it’s the strongest product debut in the history of four-wheeled vehicles.

As part of the solution framework, the Israeli government will provide tax incentives to customers, Renault will supply the electric vehicles, and Project Better Place will construct and operate an Electric Recharge Grid across the entire country. Consumers expect a simpler concept. It would be a financial win-win for all.

GM says it is already looking ahead to the next generation of Volt-based vehicles — it unveiled the Cadillac Converj concept in January — and says costs will come down as the technology spreads to more models.
