Enabling drivers to recharge their vehicles across the member states will be ensured by the related revision of the deployment of an alternative fuels infrastructure (AFIR). Now that the Council has agreed on its positions, negotiations with the European Parliament will begin so as to reach an agreement on the final legal texts.

AFV are alternative fuel vehicles: electric, LPG, NG-biomethane, E85, biodiesel, hybrid and plug-in vehicles. At the time, Americans were slurping leaded fuel through massive V8 sedans. Industry belched out smoke and sludge with little fear of legal consequences or bad press. There’s encouraging progress in alternate fuels like CNG and ethanol too. Air pollution was commonly accepted as the smell of prosperity.

kW charger, the slowest is by a standard 120V household plug that delivers a full charge in about two and a half days. Acceleration is beyond what can be safely and legally used on the local roads and freeway we traversed, but the precision of the handling was also evident.
