Veolia Transportation is launching Baltimore’s first propane autogas taxi fleet. The company—the largest private provider of multiple modes of transportation in North America—is converting 300 of its taxis nationwide from gasoline to propane autogas.

These projects put more than 9,000 alternative fuel and energy-efficient light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles on the road, and establish 542 refueling locations across the country. The project will deploy 502 alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles through 119 public and private fleets throughout the state.

Virginia Clean Cities announced that 1,000 vehicles have been successfully converted to run on propane autogas through the Southeast Propane Autogas Development Program (SPADP). Program fleets significantly save on fuel costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by running vehicles on American-made propane autogas.
