Air Products has signed a contract with Sorensen Gross Construction Services to build a hydrogen fueling station in Flint, Michigan to fuel a hydrogen fuel cell bus owned by Flint’s Mass Transportation Authority (MTA).

The British Government is attempting to strangle the electric car baby in its London cradle. The small, 45mph zero-emission vehicles have found a ready market in London - 850 sold so far - where electrics are exempt from the stiff daily congestion charge for driving in central London.

The retrofitted hybrid trucks are projected to improve fuel economy by 44%, decrease particulate matter by 96% and reduce NO x emissions by 75% compared to the standard FedEx Express delivery truck. As a result of these efforts, FedEx Express has saved 45 million gallons of fuel or 452,573 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

A hydrogen-powered version of Hyundai’s Tucson sport utility vehicle has already appeared in southern California showrooms. In August 2014, Hyundai’s ix35 fuel cell model was driven a record distance for a hydrogen-powered production car on a single tank, covering 435 miles across three Scandinavian countries.
