Buick will add two new models to its China portfolio—the VELITE 6 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and VELITE 6 battery-electric vehicle (BEV)—to tap into the fast-growing domestic demand for new energy vehicles. They are based on the VELITE Concept new energy vehicle that was unveiled in November 2016.

The Fisker Karma plug-in extended range electric vehicle ( earlier post ) made its public driving debut over the weekend, 19 months after being introduced as a concept. Combined with two electric motors, these components make up the Q-Drive powertrain exclusive to all Fisker automobiles.
