Amazon has announced a few milestones within its Rivian Electric Delivery Vehicle (EDV) fleet. This is the fastest rollout of an electric delivery fleet at this scale in the U.S., The fleet has now grown to over 3,000 vehicles, tripling in size and helping Amazon reach the sustainability goals that it outlined in 2019.

BYD (Build Your Dreams) will deliver two 8R Class-8 battery-electric refuse trucks, fitted with New Way Viper Rear Loader refuse bodies, to Recology in Seattle, WA for use in residential solid waste pick up. The electric refuse trucks are scheduled to be delivered in the first half of 2019.
