Despite the global coronavirus pandemic, Ford is still aiming to launch its Mustang Mach-E electric SUV on schedule this fall, according to the Detroit News. Some development work remains to be done on the Mach-E, which was unveiled in November 2019 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

While Audi and Mercedes-Benz have trumpeted the electric crossover utility vehicles they will offer in 2018 and 2019, a smaller competitor is keeping pace with the German giants. The British brand Jaguar won praise for the design of its I-Pace electric SUV on its debut at last November's Los Angeles auto show.

At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, Audi is showing four battery-electric drive vehicles, the series versions of which will celebrate their premiere by the end of 2020. The Hyundai Vision T concept revealed Wednesday at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show has a future in showrooms, but the future of its plug-in hybrid powertrain isn't certain. The Vision T wears matte-green paint to signal the advances its powertrain makes, versus today's Hyundai gas-powered SUVs.
