EIA: US, Qatar and Russia provided almost 70% of liquefied natural gas received in Europe in 2021

In 2021, a large share of Europe’s supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) originated in the United States, Qatar, and Russia. In January 2022, the United States supplied more than half of all LNG imports into Europe for the month. Supply challenges in the European market have led to rising regional prices for natural gas.

IHS Markit: US poised to be world’s largest LNG exporter in 2022 as China becomes top LNG importer

The report, LNG Trade in 2021: Runaway Recovery , finds that the United States, which was the third-largest LNG exporter behind Australia and Qatar for the full year of 2021, is poised to claim the top spot in 2022. Total loaded LNG supply in 2021 reached 396.3 MMt), followed by Qatar at 81.3 MMt, up 5.5% MMt relative to 2020.

ADB: Projected cost of Uzbek Oltin Yo’l GTL plant increases by 37% to $5.6B

The project will produce 37,610 barrels per day (bbl/d) of GTL diesel, GTL kerosene, GTL naphtha and LPG using natural gas supplied by Uzbekneftegaz from the Shurtan fields.
