The area has excellent conditions for industrial activities: a deep-water harbor and an excellent electricity transmission network. Finland is an ideal location for our project.

Steelmaker SSAB will start using liquified natural gas (LNG) in its Raahe (Finland) steel mill, where it will replace the use of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the walking beam furnace in the strip mill and be as a support and additional fuel in the boiler in Raahe Voima’s power plant. Deliveries to Raahe will start in early 2018.

The 57,565 GT M/S Viking Grace currently operates in the archipelago between Turku (Finland) and Stockholm (Sweden), and is already one of the most environmentally-friendly cruise ferries in the global maritime industry. Preparations for the retrofit are underway, with the installation scheduled to take place during Q2 of 2018.
