I was at the end of a 3-year lease and a 6-month extension on my 2018 Chevrolet Volt Plug-in Hybrid. After 3 ½ years my mpg is well north of 200 mpg (the measurement tops out at 250 mpg, which is my goal). It’s a shame plug-in hybrids seem to be falling out of favor. Road Test: 2016 Chevrolet Volt.

EPA released the latest edition of its annual report on trends in CO 2 emissions, fuel economy and powertrain technology for new personal vehicles in the US. mpg increase over the previous year and an increase of nearly 5 mpg since 2004.
