UPS announced an update to 125 Workhorse E-GEN series hybrid electric delivery trucks that improve fuel economy as part of the company’s broader Rolling Laboratory approach. The smaller engine will improve fuel economy, however. In March of 2015, AMP formally changed its name to Workhorse Group Incorporated.

Restyling a Best-Selling Premium Compact SUV. The Acura RDX has been one of the best-selling compact premium SUVs since 2006, and has sold more than 50,000 every year since 2015. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the next generation RDX is a hybrid or plug-in hybrid to get that fuel economy into the mid-30 miles per gallon range.

Genesis began as a stand-alone company in 2015 and is just now hitting its stride with a line-up of sedans and SUVs that get rave reviews. After 2025 they will come out with no new internal combustion engine models and, by 2030, will only sell cars and SUVs powered by a battery. But things are changing for them.

Results from the recently released 2015 Harris Poll AutoTECHCAST suggest that the deluge of infotainment features and connected services coming from the automotive industry may do little to accelerate consumer adoption. Data cited in the release comes from the May 2015 wave of the study. Baby boomers have the lowest overall interest.

With the Polestar 3 and 4 SUVs coming out next year, the upgrades to the Polestar 2 will allow it to hold its own in an increasingly competitive EV market. Volvo brought them in-house in 2015 when Polestar badging appeared on Volvos designating performance was awaiting the driver. For brevity, we will stick with sedan.

Fuel economy numbers reported by Clean Fleet Report are non-scientific, and represent the reviewer’s driving experience using the dash gauge computer. Running on 87 octane, the EPA rates the HR-V AWD at 25 mpg city/30 highway/27 combined.
