The 2013 Honda Fit EV ( earlier post ) received a combined adjusted Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mile-per-gallon-equivalency (MPGe) rating of 118 MPGe—the highest yet awarded by the EPA. The Honda Clarity Fuel Cell sedan ( earlier post ) made its North American debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show as Honda announced additional details for the vehicle’s entry into the US market. The Clarity Fuel Cell will be available in black, white and signature red exterior paint schemes.

Hyundai is initially offering the Tucson Fuel Cell to customers in the Los Angeles/Orange County region for a 36-month term at $499 per month, with $2,999 down. Hyundai’s position on fuel cell vehicles is that they alleviate the limitations of traditional battery-electric vehicles with respect to range and refueling (recharging) time.
