In 2012, the share of diesel engines in the large SUV segment stood at around 80%. In 2012, India accounted for 15% of the global market for diesel passenger cars, the second-largest market after Europe.

Elio Motors, which unveiled its fifth-generation three-wheeler prototype at the LA Auto Show ( earlier post ), launched a $25-million stock sale at 4 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday after receiving qualification from the Securities and Exchange Commission under the Regulation A+ ruling in the 2012 Jumpstart Our Business Startup (JOBS) Act.

With the addition of this SmartFuel station, Air Products now has three hydrogen fueling stations operating in India. Air Products India installed, and in January 2012 commissioned, a hydrogen fueling dispenser in Pragati Maidan, Delhi to serve a fleet of hydrogen powered auto rickshaws.

Elio Motors has begun work on its fifth-generation prototype three-wheeled vehicle. The 506 (c) offering is made possible by the Jobs Act of 2012, and allows accredited investors to buy in to Elio Motors. The P5 will include Elio Motors’ recently unveiled 0.9 liter, 3-cylinder engine prototype and a manual transmission.

GM production at the Shreveport Assembly and Stamping Plant ceased on 28 August 2012. The three-wheeled Elio is powered by an inline, 3-cylinder, 0.9 GM produced more than 4.8 million vehicles, mostly light-duty pickup trucks, at the facility, which was among the properties the former General Motors Corp.

Air Products India installed, and in January 2012 commissioned, a hydrogen fueling dispenser in Pragati Maiden, Delhi to serve a fleet of hydrogen-powered auto rickshaws. The three-wheeled hydrogen-powered fleet transports visitors at the Pragati Maidan, where many large public exhibitions are held.
