ABAT and Wuxi Angell Autocycle Introduce Three Hybrid Motorcycles

Ltd unveiled three hybrid motorcycles at the Dealer Expo 2009, 13-16 February, in Indianapolis, IN. The computerized control puts the motorcycle on pure-electric drive at low speed, and switches to the gasoline engine at high speed while recharging the batteries. ABAT and Angell expect to go into full-scale production in April.

ARB Fines Car Dealership $175,000 for Installing Fuel Maximizer Aftermarket Device

The California Air Resources Board (ARB) fined Sunrise Ford, a car dealership with outlets in North Hollywood and Fontana, $175,000 last month for illegally modifying 2005 through 2007 model year light- and medium-duty vehicles with an aftermarket device before the vehicles were sold.

ICCT study finds increasing discrepancy between type-approval and real-world fuel consumption in European cars

US LDV Sales Fall 37.1% in January; January SAAR Below 10 Million
