The company also recently signed an agreement with Mitsubishi for the introduction of the electric iOn—based on the Mitsubishi i-MiEV—at the end of 2010. When I got back from Japan in 2000 I didn’t want to start a computer business. In 2000 there couldn’t have been too many old timers in the solar industry. Well Sunpower and Sanyo are first tier, meaning in the field they’re converting at about a 16% efficiency rate I believe. Sharp and Mitsubishi has done a little.

Peugeot has released the specifications for the iOn EV—based on the Mitsubishi iMiEV ( earlier post )—in advance of the Paris Auto Show. The compact synchronous permanent magnet electric motor delivers maximum power of 47 kW (64 bhp) and has a maximum torque of 180 N·m (134 lb-ft) from 0 to 2000 rpm.
