Oregon’s electric vehicle incentive program that was widely publicized for bringing the price of a Tesla Model 3 well below $30,000 is being suspended for a year starting in May because it is running out of money. According to Fox Business , Oregon expects 1.5 million people to be driving EVs in the state by 2035.

While the Colorado standard falls short of requiring 100 percent of new car sales to be electric by 2035, as adopted in California , Maryland and a number of other U.S. Earlier this year, Colorado voted to approve new EV tax incentives on EVs that offer up to $5,000 off on select purchases, which can be used alongside the federal tax credit.
