Hyster to develop fuel-cell electric reachstacker for Port of Valencia

Hyster Europe is developing a zero-emission reachstacker featuring a hydrogen fuel cell for the Port of Valencia, as part of the European Horizon 2020 program and H2Ports project. The company also expects reduced vehicle maintenance costs thanks to the elimination of the engine, transmission and other mechanical-driven components.

MAN Lion’s City 18 E articulated electric bus to begin practical testing in Barcelona and Cologne later this year

As part of its e-mobility roadmap, MAN Truck & Bus is sending a fleet of demo e-buses to customers in five European countries this year. The fleet comprises 15 test vehicles, which will be deployed as part of everyday operations. This year, another 13 demo vehicles will be deployed in practice as part of the e-mobility roadmap.

Wärtsilä providing HY hybrid modules for Swedish port tug; first vessel operating with Wärtsilä HY solution

The vessel is being built at GONDAN Shipbuilders, in Asturias, Spain, and the order with Wärtsilä was booked in December 2017. The Wärtsilä HY product’s operational flexibility will yield significant fuel, emissions, and maintenance cost savings. The mechanical machinery part is based on two Wärtsilä 26 engines.

London transport operator Go-Ahead adds two Irizar electric i2e buses to fleet after successful operating results

Based on the success of two Irizar 100% i2e electric buses that have been operating in London since June 2015, London’s largest transport operator, Go-Ahead, is incorporating the buses into its fleet and has signed an agreement with Irizar that includes service and maintenance. The second was delivered in July 2015.
