Modern lithium-titanate batteries are used as energy storage devices in the electric buses. 2021 the city Government refused to purchase diesel buses. The electric buses can be fully charged in 6-10 minutes—enough to ride 40-50 km. The temperature range of its work is from -40 to +40 degrees Celsius.

The city plans to purchase another 1600 electric buses over next few years, with the goal of replacing the diesel fleet. The KAMAZ 6282 electric bus is driven by two 125 kW ZF motors powered by 80 kWh lithium titanate (LTO) battery packs charged by ultra-fast charging stations using a pantograph.
