Robert Transport of Boucherville, Quebec has issued a purchase order for 180 Peterbilt liquefied natural gas (LNG) trucks featuring Westport HD Systems. Furthermore, an additional 85% cut for amortization reduction is granted if the truck or tractor runs on LNG.

This grant followed an earlier $500 million from EPA to the South Coast Air Quality Management District, which will be used to get further zero-emission trucks, delivery vehicles and locomotives into operation.

The Energy Commission approved $18,690,000 in grants for projects that will expand the state’s fueling infrastructure for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Peterbilt Motors Company, with dealerships throughout California, will receive $208,000 for the buy-down of eight natural gas vehicles of 26,001 pounds gross vehicles weight and greater.
