To be fair, Android phone users may find the Google-based system a bit quicker to learn than iPhone users. The dual electric motors (front and rear) that provide the car with all-wheel drive get their juice from a 78 kWh lithium-ion battery, and the system’s output is 402 horsepower and 486 lb-ft of torque.

Although Tesla gets the headlines (and stock price boost), Nissan and Chevrolet make the sales. The Google example of an expensive networked, free Level 2 charger in every employee’s slot is unrealistic, unaffordable and unnecessary in the real world. Automakers continue to only offer sub-100 mile range vehicles.

At 0600 hrs, gobbled down 3 sandwiches, a cake, a brownie and some pineapple juice. We then followed Google maps on to the Nashik highway via Thane. Native Google maps does not work on the screen. If you want to look sporty and macho, then the price does not matter, you would go for the Nexon. We were good to go.

Followed Google Maps to hit Hosur road - and from then on the Maps was switched off. Apart from the price, the only other drawback fo the car is its suspension. At that price point, one would have expected some creature comforts - but like the Tigor most of the money is spent on giving the car that solid LFP pack.

Just as wireless service providers offer smartphones at discounted prices, Project Better Place will offer discounted electric vehicles with usage pricing plans.
