Researchers at Georgia Tech have compared medium-duty (MD) electric and diesel urban delivery trucks in terms of life-cycle energy consumption, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and total cost of ownership (TCO). Georgia has a tax credit worth up to $5,000 for zero-emissions vehicles. Honolulu, with 26 quick chargers, has one of densest charging grids in the US. Illinois provides a $4,000 state tax incentive for purchases and reduced registration fees. Oregon has a Chief EV Officer to promote EV use. Chicago and Denver (tied).
