The baseline CI value for gasoline is 95.86 The high pressure portion of this off-gas (both high- and low-pressure gas is generated) is supplied via a dedicated pipeline to a hydrogen plant located on Jurong Island. The hydrogen supplied by the plant is piped back to the Neste plant where it is used for hydrotreatment.

Upon hearing the term ‘Hydrogen-Powered Car’ for the first time, I assumed it to be like a gasoline car with a few changes. The idea of rockets being powered using hydrogen fuel was the reason behind my assumption (Somehow burning the Hydrogen inside the cylinders like gasoline) and I believe it was the same for most of us. .

Annual use of an EV should be less than the average cost of $8,000 per year for using a gasoline in many countries including the USA. So while my car is powering the great city during the day how will I have juice to drive home at the end of the day? Project Better Place plans to deploy a massive network of battery charging spots.

For on-the-go juice ups, the idea is to exchange your dead battery for a fresh one owned by Better Place. If I’d have to plan on stopping somewhere for an hour in the middle of a 3 hour drive, just to refuel, I’d feel pretty compelled to stick with a gasoline/diesel vehicle. Gasoline prices change fairly rapidly.
