The Renault-Nissan Alliance will open a research office later this month in Mountain View, California, directly across from the Google campus. Nissan will use the Silicon Valley office to focus on vehicle IT research, including graphical user-interface displays, in-car Internet connectivity and smart-grid research.

But besides that, the only electronics potentially benefiting from THIS breakthrough are RCs and household rechargeable batteries.

If youre a stickler for electric vehicles, there is an electric scooter that will travel up to 60 miles and can be recharged in 3 hours. by homercles82 April 7, 2009 11:23 AM PDT Yes we will just be charging these cars using electricity that is made from naturla gas and coal fired palnts while we ignore nuclear unlike most of Europe.
