Under this competition, EPA anticipates awarding between 40 and 70 assistance agreements. Applicants may apply until 16 March 2021.

EPA anticipates awarding approximately $44 million in Diesel Emission Reduction Program (DERA) grant funding to eligible applicants.

The grants are funded through the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) and are located in areas where communities need the most help with local air quality.

EPA estimates that every $1 in DERA funding generates up to $13 in health care savings.
