At Plug’n Drive, we have lots of visitors come to the EV Discovery Centre , waxing poetic about electric cars, that they are the future of transportation, but they are too expensive and out of reach for most consumers. We now also have Canada’s $5,000 federal electric vehicle incentive , which makes a new EV even more attractive.

Volt owners are driving more than 63% of their overall miles in electric vehicle mode, collectively logging more than 500 million gas-free miles since the Volts retail debut.

Increased diversity seen in 2021 National Drive Electric Week events. Electric Auto Association (EAA) chapters in the southern U.S. states experienced an increase in diversity when it came to this year’s National Drive Electric Week events. For the time being, EVs are more expensive than comparable gasoline cars.

Effective February 1, 2020, Ontario residents qualify for a new incentive of $1,000 if they scrap their old gas car and replace it with a used electric car. Combined, these two programs provide Ontario’s drivers with a total of $2,000 in potential incentives to make the switch to a used electric vehicle (EV). Brigham Foundation.
