After spending the past year and a half converting a Porsche 914 to an electric vehicle, I decided to expand my horizons by designing an open-source electric vehicle (EV) conversion kit for a commonly used car. Unfortunately, these kits are for much older vehicles like the Porsche 914 and the VW Rabbit.

Car Wi-Fi also connects to your personal devices, meaning your passengers can stream their favorite movies, read e-books and play all the games they want while on the road. This was a big evening of figuring out how to remove the transmission with one person. I'll try to take more pictures as I go next time to document the process better. First up was removing the rear portion of the exhaust system, shown here next to my trusty 34mpg 1994 Saturn. Here is the removed transmission.

I received minimal support from ElectroAuto and received most of my documentation from other 914 AC kit members who passed it to me "on the sly." Most people seem to want want greater range, but are not willing to give up starting torque for it, especially for a Porsche. Most people want their Porsches to go fast, not long distance.

Beth Silverman, the support person, has been very quick to respond with whatever information she can provide from the controller designers. Feature is active on both pedal and CAN controlled From one document it says the signal is 12V open-emitter. Since this wasn't listed in the Pedal_Controlled_DMOC445_User_Manual_v3.pdf
