Conversions are mostly for the Prius, with a few for the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner hybrid SUVs. The nonprofit CalCars does conversions to demonstrate new designs and provide a platform for different batteries; we dont sell conversions. Conversions are limited to certain vehicle types. So far, most start as hybrids.

Unless/until PV cells become more efficient, and are part of the original installation, they will seriously affect the cars aerodynamics and will be far less durable than metal. At the moment, only 2004-2007 Priuses , and to a limited extent, the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner Hybrids. How about putting PV cells on the roof of a PHEV?
