Amazon has begun deploying its custom electric delivery vehicles from Rivian for package delivery, with the electric vehicles hitting the road in Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, Nashville, Phoenix, San Diego, Seattle, and St. Louis, among other cities.

Eaton Corporation is collaborating with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) on a prototype integrated solar-assisted electric vehicle charging station to be erected at EPRI’s research laboratory in Knoxville, Tenn. kW capacity).

Electric bus manufacturer Proterra has closed a $55-million Series 6 round, on the heels of an oversubscribed $140-million Series 5 in January. Currently, the company has sold more than 400 vehicles to cities and communities in the US, including Seattle, Dallas, Nashville, San Jose, Philadelphia and Reno.

Coulomb Technologies, a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging station infrastructure, has secured $14 million in Series B funding in a round led by Voyager Capital and Rho Ventures. Today Coulomb has more than 120 customers including McDonalds, Dell Corporation, Reliant Energy, DTE Energy and Element Hotels.
