We now have a sprinkling of promising companies working to get funded to convert gas-guzzlers. Over time, we can conserve by reducing the miles we drive. That means we’ll be powering some miles with increasingly renewable electricity that isn't made from imported oil. We’re happy we’re well on our way with plug-in cars.

The program includes the installation of 10 alternative fuel refueling sites (two B20, one Electric Recharging, and seven CNG). The project will convert local landfill gas (LFG), a renewable fuel source, to compressed natural gas and develop five CNG fueling stations throughout the metro-Atlanta area. Total DOE award: $15,000,000.
