Open Source Civic EV Kit

After spending the past year and a half converting a Porsche 914 to an electric vehicle, I decided to expand my horizons by designing an open-source electric vehicle (EV) conversion kit for a commonly used car. There are already commercially available kits with excellent, detailed instructions for how to convert a vehicle.

Here goes (in no particular order): Things That Went Well During the Conversion The 914 AC kit from Electro Automotive is a good one. If you do your own conversion, tap into all these resources whenever you have an issue. The conversion car came from camp914.com Most people are very happy to help.

I recently sent off an e-mail to Azure Dynamics, the maker of the DMOC445 AC motor controller in the 914 kit. Beth Silverman, the support person, has been very quick to respond with whatever information she can provide from the controller designers. Since this wasn't listed in the Pedal_Controlled_DMOC445_User_Manual_v3.pdf

I hope to document my findings here as i use this ground breaking electric scooter from OLA Electric. My ramblings on the 2022 EV scene I have an electric cycle, which is an eAdicct conversion kit added to a Schnell 26 inch cycle. It was such an ice breaker and conversation starter. The car was amazing. Loved it to bits.
