The project will develop a new device called the Galloping Hydrokinetic Energy Extraction Device that will convert fast-moving river currents into an oscillating motion that will drive a dielectric elastomer generator (DEG). I know these them, I lived in Japan I know these people, I’ve sat and had conversations with them. Well Sunpower and Sanyo are first tier, meaning in the field they’re converting at about a 16% efficiency rate I believe.
