Anderman: Li-ion capacity far outstripping demand as automakers focus more on hybrids, less on full EVs

U of Michigan Study Finds Costs of Plug-in Cars Primary Key to Broad Consumer Acceptance

The findings were released at The Business of Plugging In conference in Detroit today. The purpose of this study was to examine the conditions under which consumers would purchase a PHEV. The questions were based on estimates of the likely fuel savings and cost premiums for the PHEVs in five to ten years (in today’s dollars).
