Volkswagen commissions fast-charging park with 570 kWh of second-life MEB cell modules

At the Zwickau vehicle plant, Volkswagen commissioned the first fast-charging park in Saxony supplied with energy largely from a power storage container (PSC). The PSC is an electricity storage unit and consists of 96 cell modules with a net capacity of 570 kWh. 4 and have now been given a second purpose.

Vattenfall contracts with BMW for up to 1,000 new 33 kWh Li-ion batteries this year for storage projects in wind farms

Vattenfall will purchase the new batteries from the BMW plant in Dingolfing and use them in all storage projects. The first energy storage from the BMW-i3 batteries is being built at the 122 MW onshore wind farm “Princess Alexia” near Amsterdam. This is a so-called storage control unit made of batteries.
