LG Chem has entered a four-year supply deal to provide lithium ion batteries to Eaton Corp. for use in hybrid commercial vehicles. its US unit based in Troy, Michigan, in anticipation of increasing batteries supply to Eaton, the company said in a statement. Korea Times.

If we count the Toyota HiLux and Ford Ranger as the light commercial pickups they are, the best-selling car in Australia in 2023 so far is the Tesla Model 3. With seemingly every other car manufacturer bumping up prices to reflect more demand than supply, Tesla’s doing well at winning hearts and minds.

Delve deeper into the figures supplied by the FCAI and there are plenty of interesting insights. Of course one area EVs have almost no presence is commercial vehicles.
