The Volkswagen Group announced today that during the course of its internal investigation into the diesel emission cheating issue, it uncovered “irregularities” when determining type-approval CO 2 levels. Based on present knowledge, around 800,000 vehicles from the Volkswagen Group could be affected, the company said.
