Its vision is a gasoline-free US by 2040 or sooner.

On-road NO x emission levels of Euro 6 diesel cars in Europe are on average about seven times higher than the NO x limit set by the Euro 6 emission standard, according to a new report published in Berlin by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT). Diesel vehicles make up about 50% of all new cars in the EU.

Virginia will stop following California’s stricter emissions standards, which would have put the state on track to end sales of nearly all new internal-combustion cars by 2035, Governor Glenn Youngkin announced last week.
