I am building a commuter car for a city with 45MPH speed limits. I attempted to buy a manual rack, but the company said they don't actually have one to sell. They couldn't wrap their heads around the idea I wanted a manual rack, even though I have a car with a power rack. I am not building a dragster. Very good prices.

Additionally, EVs cost significantly less to operate and maintain than gas cars. Plus, who wants to spend $50 or more at the pump when that money could be used for something far more fun? Will everyone need to buy an EV? Not everyone will need to buy an EV– even by 2032. Leasing is a great way to get into a new EV.

If I had to do it again, I would definitely send it out for rebuilding by someone else or just purchase a newly refurbished 914 transmission. There were several issues with the original car that I could have saved loads of time on (especially the transmission) by asking other (non-EV) 914 experts. The old one sold nicely.
