PEUGEOT estimates it will assemble up to 10,000 batteries a month for its car range by next year, and as many as 7,000 batteries a month for its advanced LCV range. ŠKODA AUTO, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, is introducing a smart energy storage system using second-life batteries from electric vehicles. The system stores sustainably generated electricity in used batteries that come from the all-electric SUV ŠKODA ENYAQ iV as well as the plug-in hybrid models SUPERB iV and OCTAVIA iV.

Skoda to set up second life battery hubs to power its retailers. Skoda will use second-hand lithium-ion batteries from its PHEVs and BEV models to power its retailer network. It will install power hubs across all its retailer network which is made from lithium-ion batteries sourced from its old electric vehicles.
