Nissan sold two generations of Silvias badged as Datsun 200SXs in the United States from the 1976 through 1983 model years, then sold the subsequent Silvia generation here as the Nissan 200SX until 1989. The badges are gone from this car, but it would have been badged as a "Datsun 200SX by Nissan."

Other names that managed to beat the industry average you might not have expected to see included Mini, Nissan, and all of the Korean brands. Even stranger was that Toyota failed to beat the industry average — coming in right behind Mitsubishi, which has been working to improve its quality control for years.

We’ll finally get to see the new Nissan August 2nd. I’m kind of excited to see this car, having tested the drivetrain in the Nissan Cube. The best thing about the Nissan is the expected price range of $25K- $34K. The gamble is that Nissan could grab the EV market and dominate it until BYD (China) enters the U.S.,
