To help France meet its sustainability targets, Bombardier will now convert AGC hybrid trains to full battery power. The effort is part of France’s strategy to eventually phase diesel power out of its national rail fleet. The range in battery mode will be at least 80 kilometers.

Wegmans, a supermarket chain leader, has launched a fleet of 50 hydrogen fuel cell-powered pallet trucks fitted with Plug Power’s GenDrive hydrogen fuel cell power units and fueled using Air Products’ hydrogen and hydrogen fueling station technology at its Pottsville, Pa. Dave Allar, Wegmans’ RSC maintenance manager.

You could do V2G through the DC port of the vehicle—this is what we are doing with school buses here in California, where our charging station converts AC to DC and then connects to the DC port of the vehicle to provide power. Then it takes the DC from the bus, or car, and converts it back to AC to provide power for the grid.
